2024 Terms and Conditions - CAF Tour & Travel s.r.l.

 

CAF Tour & Travel s.r.l., authorized by the Florence Provincial Authority under authorization no. 425 dated 24.1.1995, organizes and conducts tours in accordance with the regulations outlined in D.L. 111/95, approved by EEC regulation no. 90/314. Any contractual disputes shall be governed by the provisions of law no. 1084 dated 27.12.77, aligned with the International Convention relating to the Travel Contract (C.C.V.), as per D.Lgs. 23/05/2011 n.79 "Tourism Code" applicable in Italy.

 

PRICES

Prices are expressed in Euro. Programs are subjected to availability for each product. In case of unforeseen increases in prices per person exceeding 10% due to new taxes or duties, the price will be adjusted accordingly, and clients will be notified in writing. Each tour explicitly states what is included in the price.

 

REDUCTIONS

City Tours by Bus are complimentary for children under the age of 6.

Excursions are free for children under the age of 4, while children aged 4 to 12 receive a 50% discount.

Children up to the age of 6 have free admission to Florence museums, upon presentation of relevant documentation. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

For Luxury Day Trips, children from 0 to 2 years receive a 50% reduction, and children from 3 to 8 years receive a 30% reduction.

 

BOOKINGS

Reservations are subject to availability (such as places, available languages spoken by guides, museum entry tickets, etc.). Bookings for groups exceeding 9 participants must be sent to our booking department via email at tours@caftours.com and are subject to reconfirmation by our office.

 

GROUP BOOKINGS

A group booking is comprised of 9 persons or more.

Reservations for groups of more than 9 persons will be subject to different terms and conditions compared to individual bookings. These specific terms and conditions for groups will be detailed and agreed upon with the customer during the pre-purchase offer stage.

By accepting the present terms and conditions, the customer acknowledges and agrees that reservations for groups of more than 9 persons will be subject to separate and specific contractual conditions, which will be communicated to the customer in advance through a pre-purchase offer. Acceptance of such offer will imply acceptance of the specific contractual terms and conditions for groups.

Any variation or amendment to the specific contractual terms and conditions for groups must be agreed upon in writing between the parties and incorporated into the main contract.

By accepting the present terms and conditions, the customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the possibility that reservations for groups of more than 9 persons may be subject to specific contractual conditions and agrees to such conditions upon receipt of the pre-purchase offer.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Written cancellations communicated to CAF Tour & Travel up to 48 hours before the scheduled tour or service departure time will not incur any penalty. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure will result in a charge of 100% of the total price with no reimbursement provided. No reimbursement will be granted for clients who fail to be present at the departure point at the specified time, lose contact with the guide, or fail to complete the tour.

CAF Tour & Travel reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour or service due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond its control. In the event of cancellation by CAF Tour & Travel, clients are entitled to a reimbursement of the sum paid to the company.

 

TOURS INFORMATION

  • English language service is guaranteed for all tours.
  • Local guide services may be provided in two languages. 
  • Local guide services in Italian, Spanish, French, and German are guaranteed for groups of at least 4 people.
  • Excursions for small groups, up to 8 pax, are conducted by Minivan without a tour escort service.
  • Luxury Day Trips are conducted only in English with a minimum of 4 participants.
  • Multilingual escort services are provided.
  • Tours including Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery are not operational on the first Sunday of the month.
  • Delays in museum admission may occur during peak visitor periods due to security regulations. Caf Tour & Travel is not liable for such delays.
  • Clients failing to return the provided Audio-guide may be subject to penalty fees decided by the Museum.

 

PAYMENT

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

CAF Tour & Travel s.r.l. is not liable for damages caused by third parties or circumstances beyond its control. The company is not responsible for lost valuables, luggage, or objects during tours. Caf Tour & Travel is not responsible for objects left on the bus and any associated shipping costs incurred by customers.

For the safety of all, please be informed that the services offered are designed to meet the needs of clients without motor disabilities or those not using wheelchairs. It is advised that some activities or tours may involve physical or environmental conditions unsuitable for individuals with motor disabilities or using wheelchairs.

To safeguard the well-being of the client, the driver and/or accompanying personnel reserve the unequivocal right to reject the participation of clients with motor disabilities or using wheelchairs if they deem their presence may compromise the safety of the client or other participants. This decision will be made solely at the discretion of the driver and/or accompanying personnel, and the client shall not be entitled to compensation or refunds in the event of refusal of participation.

Clients with motor disabilities or using wheelchairs are advised to inform the tour organizer in advance regarding their physical conditions and to consult a medical professional to determine if the proposed services are suitable for their specific needs.

By accepting these terms and conditions, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the provisions concerning the participation of clients with motor disabilities or using wheelchairs, and agrees to abide by the unequivocal decisions of the driver and/or accompanying personnel regarding participation in the offered services.

 

INSURANCE

Tours scheduled in this program are covered by third-party insurance as per the provisions outlined in D.L. 111/95 under UNIPOL policy N. 6/35910/319/81738292.

 

CLAIMS

Any claims or complaints regarding our services must be submitted in writing to CAF Tour & Travel s.r.l. via email at tours@caftours.com within 10 business days from the date of the tour or service. We will make every reasonable effort to address and resolve your claim within this timeframe. Failure to submit a claim within the specified timeframe may result in the waiver of your rights to seek redress. We appreciate your cooperation in providing timely feedback to help us improve our services and address any concerns you may have.

JURISDICTION

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including any disputes regarding the interpretation, validity, or termination thereof, shall be settled by the Court of Florence, Italy. By using our services and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you expressly consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Florence for the resolution of any such disputes.
