Accademia: Total immersion in the art of Michelangelo to know his most renowned work, the “David”, and other important works of art such as ''I Prigioni'' and ''San Matteo'' and the “Palestrina Pietà”. The young Michelangelo carved the David from a huge block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the renaissance model. He depicted a magnificent nude young man at the height of his physical vigor, whose intense expression of strength and courage, which originated from an absolute faith in God, roses as a symbol of power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the time of its maximum splendor.

Uffizi: You can't leave Florence without visiting one of the most famous art galleries in the world. Here you can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many others. Among the precious exhibition halls of the Gallery, the most renowned one contains the refined works by Botticelli, amongst which the absolute masterpieces: "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus". The latter painting, the icon of the museum, represents the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of the Renaissance Neoplatonic aesthetics.

The guided tour ends at the Uffizi Terrace where you can enjoy an amazing and exclusive view of the city’s most important monuments. Once the guided tour is over, it is possible to stay in the museum.

Wonderful tours

Great museums! We took the guided visits and both our guides were wonderful: fluent English, passionate about art and Florence. I totally suggest this tour!
Accademia and Uffizi

"A great tour guide can make or break these types of tours. Our tour guide for the Uffizi gallery was absolutely amazing. I'm the first to admit I know very little about art. However, he managed to make each masterpiece come to life for me. He spent time describing each aspect of these amazing pieces of art in a way that even I could understand and appreciate. His tone of voice and presence was perfect for the tour. Very calming and thoughtful. The Academia part of the tour was nice but nothing out of the ordinary or special. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and added a great deal of value to the experience of seeing David and the other sculptures. "
Perfect and well organized

This is a very good tour, and splitting it in two made it a more pleasant way to see two of the most important sites in Florence as far as I'm concerned. The break in between allowed us to do some shopping, have a long leisurely lunch and even head back to our hotel to relax for a little bit. Then we were fresh for the second block of time in a museum. I don't understand how some people miss the clear explanation of the logistics on the site. It is important to remember that the Accademia goes first. Being in the presence of the David is inexplicably magical. Our guide at the Uffizi was exceptional and really helped us all understand the importance of many of the pieces of art.
Amazing!

I had a very enthusiastic Italian man heading up the tour, and I got SO much more out of the visits to the museums than I would have on my own. I learned personal details about the artists and their lives and the politics of that time. SO AMAZING!
The Michelangelo's David

There is so much to see on these tours! The Accademia Gallery was not as impressive as the Uffizi, but nonetheless, a must see to see the Michaelangelo sculptures!
A must

A guided tour by experienced tour guide is a must and skip the line is certainly an advantage. I liked the Accademia mainly for the David while inside the Uffizi we didn't know where to admire: there are many wonderful masterpieces held in this gallery.
