Total immersion in the art of Michelangelo to know his most renowned work, the “David”, and other important works of art such as ''IPrigioni'' and ''San Matteo'' and the “Palestrina Pietà”.
The young Michelangelo carved the David from a huge block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the renaissance model. He depicted a magnificent nude young man at the height of his physical vigor, whose intense expression of strength and courage, which originated from an absolute faith in God, roses as a symbol of power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the time of its maximum splendor.
Once the guided tour is over, it is possible to stay in the museum.
We finally managed to go to Florence and we couldn't miss the opportunity to see the original Michelangelo's David. We decided to book a guided tour because we wanted to know more about the Accademia museum and we have to say that the guide was really prepared.
Do this tour!

"Our guide provided a fascinating tour of the Accademia starting outside while we waited in line to enter and
inside providing a nice balance of history and explanations of the art. Do this tour!! The Accademia is a small museum but has an amazing collection."

"A terrific and fascinating guide expertly led us through the Accademia on a 2 hour tour with CAF Tours. She was an
excellent guide and we highly recommend this tour. She is very knowledgeable on the artwork within the gallery; it is obvious she is passionate about her job."

Our guide was competent, funny and had lots of nice stories to various topics/arts. This way you remember better the story to the piece of art. So very much to recommend the tour.
A good history lesson

Very pleased with this trip. My knowledge of art is fairly limited so the fabulous history lesson whilst viewing the most amazing art, improved my experience of the Accademia museum for sure!

We were shown around the Accademia and our guide brought the Gallery alive with her knowledge. If we had gone on our own we would never have found out as much as we did with our guide. It was definitely worth booking a guided tour, highly recommended!
