Enjoy an unforgettable experience in the name of culture and history. Discover all the heart of Florence and follow your official guide inside the amazing Florence Cathedral for a monolingual guided visit. Your discovery will start with the ancient Medici Family District, with the renowned Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the famous San Lorenzo Church and their mausoleum, the Medici Chapels. A few steps away you will reach then the religious centre of Florence: the Cathedral with its incredible Brunelleschi dome, the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the elegant Giotto bell tower. The walk continues along lively Via Calzaioli where you will admire the imposing Orsanmichele Church, a masterpiece of Florentine gothic art and the Mercato della Paglia (Straw Market): don’t forget to rub the nose of the famous "porcellino" (pig) and toss a coin into the fountain to bring you good luck! Continuing on, you will see the unmistakable Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, with its renowned jewellery shops and finally Piazza Signoria, one of the most beautiful squares in the world and the political centre of the city. In this true “outdoor museum”, you’ll be amazed as you admire the beautiful Fountain of Neptune and the sculptural masterpieces of the Loggia dei Lanzi. Dominating all this is the majestic Palazzo Vecchio with the Arnolfo tower, one of the most famous symbols of Florence that you will be able to admire in all its magnificence.

Free time for lunch

Early in the afternoon, you will discover the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, a treasure chest of inestimable artistic treasures. Lead by an official Guide you will enjoy the beauty of the splendid marble choir of Bandinelli, the complex of the precious stained-glass windows worked by Donatello, Ghiberti and Andrea del Castagno and the mysterious clock by Paolo Uccello. Then, looking up, the immense precious interior of the Dome entirely frescoed by Vasari will appear, the biggest fresco in the world. On Piazza del Duomo, next to the Cathedral, you also have the chance to visit the precious Museo della Misericordia and the great opportunity, at the 4th floor of the Museum, to enjoy an amazing view on the Cathedral Square and its Monuments, taking beautiful pictures. From there it seems even possible to touch every monument! The Museum is a magical place off the beaten track where you can admire works by Santi di Tito, Benedetto da Maiano, Sano di Pietro, Bachiacca, Sogliani, G.
