This original Private walking tour will allow you experiencing the enchanting atmosphere of Florence at Christmas time, retracing the steps of one of the most spectacular Renaissance representations and touching some of the most fascinating locations of the old town!

The tour starts inside the famous Cappella dei Magi, located inside the magnificent Palazzo Medici Riccardi. Here, following your professional local guide, you will admire and receive a captivating description of the “Procession of the Magi” a marvelous cycle of frescoes painted by Benozzo Gozzoli between 1459 and 1461, to celebrate the Medici family supremacy.

Left Palazzo Medici Riccardi, you will be able to retrace the same itinerary that was followed by the prestigious cavalcade in the past. Starting from Piazza San Marco, you will reach then the wonderful Cathedral Square, the religious center of the city, where to admire (exterior visit) the imposing Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the beautiful St. John’s Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower.

From here, you will reach a historical Cafè where to have a little rest and enjoy a delicious Espresso (or Tea or Hot Chocolate or Cappuccino).

After the break, you will proceed finally to the spectacular Signoria Square, an outstanding open-air museum dominated by the stunning Palazzo Vecchio, the royal palace of the Medici Family, where the original parade ended, with the representation of the Massacre of the Innocents, by Herod.
